Secrets to Getting a Second Date-4.jpg

Getting a second date may be a difficult thing for some people. It will be difficult, most probably, if the first date didn't go as well as expected. But definitely it will be easy if the two of you hit it off during the first one. So just to be clear, the key to making sure that you get a shot at a second date is by making the first date something that you both would want to do again. How does one exactly do that?

1. Awkward situations are a no-no.

Any kind of awkwardness - from pauses to actual awkward situations can lead to both of you thinking "I don't want this to happen ever again." Thus, a first date should be free of any uncomfortable situation so that both of you would want seconds. The start of the date could already spell awkwardness when your partner arrives earlier than you and the wait has soured the mood of the party who waited. Picking the girl up and having the guy arrive there on time would be better than any of you waiting at a strange place staring into space.

2. Acting naturally is the only way to go.

Trying too hard, and forcing and being unnatural are deal breakers that would guarantee you a no second date scenario. Be at ease with yourself so that your date will also be at ease. Just don't forget your manners, though. Burping, picking your nose and other mannerisms may be proof that you're comfortable, but may make your date uneasy.

3. Make things simple and easy.

There's no need for elaborate set-ups which will just scare or intimidate people off. The first few dates are for getting to know each other, so being causal and light are the keys, so much so that your date would like to know more about you and ask for a second date (or won't have a problem saying no to one).
