In the world of dating, pick up lines seem like overrated statements that guys continue to use, thinking that saying them will lure the girls. However, many of these pick up lines are either cheesy, downright insulting, or just plain bad.

As an overused pick up line, many girls will just probably ignore you and laugh it off with their friends. If you really want a girl to notice you, be original and sincere.

"I look good. You look good. We should go out."

Aside from the fact that this pick up line sounds downright cocky, it won't really help you get a date. When approaching a girl you really like, never say something that you'd just regret.

"You've got great legs. What time do they open?"

If you don't want to get slapped across the face or get spilled with a drink on purpose, then stay away from this pick up line. You and your friends may think this is pretty hilarious, but this line is just insulting and degrading.

"Do you come here often?"

Compared to the previous pick up lines, this may sound like a charming statement but it's not. It's been used a hundred times with a success rate of 0%. If you think this line will land you a date, then think again.

If you want to approach a girl, it's always best to be yourself and just be honest. Using pick up lines won't really guarantee you success. Sometimes, a simple and honest line like "Hi I'm (your name)" is what most women would like to hear.
